YAKAMA RESERVATION — Authorities are investigating two apparent homicides that occurred overnight in White Swan and Wapato on the Yakama Reservation.

Details are limited, but Yakima County Coroner Jim Curtice said a man was killed in White Swan Thursday night. According to the Yakima County Sheriff's Office's log of incidents, deputies responded just after 10 p.m. to a homicide on Mission Road in White Swan.

Curtice said early Friday morning in Wapato, a second man who was in his 20s was killed and a third man was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries.

According to Curtice, their deaths appear to be homicides and they're working to set up times to complete autopsies. The condition of the third victim is unknown at this time and the names of the victims and further details about their deaths are being withheld pending those autopsies.

It's unclear at this time if the deaths of the two men are connected.

Apple Valley News Now reached out to FBI officials, who confirmed that their investigators, along with Yakama Nation Tribal Police responded to the crime scenes and are investigating.

This is a developing story and will be updated as we learn more.
